Who we are

At Racing Green, we are a Los Angeles-based general contractor founded by Dougal Murray in 2012. We specialize in luxury residential construction, with roots in the Hollywood Hills and Malibu and an office on Washington Boulevard. Our leadership combines licensed general and concrete contracting experience with backgrounds in luxury design and construction management.

What we do

We build custom single-family homes, complete fire rebuilds, and undertake extensive remodels and additions across Malibu, Pacific Palisades, and the Hollywood Hills. Our experience includes challenging hillside and coastal sites and rebuilding Malibu properties after the 2018 Woolsey Fire. We also provide interior design, project-management consultancy, and estate maintenance, with in-house plumbing, electrical, and painting professionals supporting home aftercare across greater Los Angeles.

Working at Racing Green

Our team brings in-house skilled trades together with subcontractors with whom we have worked for more than a decade. You can expect technically demanding residential projects where coordination between design and on-site construction matters, particularly on hillside and coastal builds. We emphasize detailed scopes of work, realistic budgets, and open communication to keep projects moving and minimize surprises.
