From water lines to medical gas systems, our plumbing team plays a critical role in keeping one of Dallas County's most important hospitals operating safely and efficiently. As a Senior (Master) Plumber, you'll bring advanced expertise to install, maintain, and repair complex plumbing systems that support patient care across the entire campus.
This role is ideal for a highly experienced plumber who takes pride in craftsmanship, leadership, and ensuring critical infrastructure runs flawlessly.
What You'll Do:
Lead and support Journeyman plumbers, providing guidance, training, and daily work direction
Investigate and prioritize plumbing service requests across the hospital campus
Inspect contractor installations to ensure code compliance and Parkland standards
Install, inspect, and repair plumbing fixtures and systems including pipes, valves, pumps, faucets, toilets, and showers
Maintain and repair natural gas and medical gas lines to ensure safe and reliable operation
Perform advanced preventive maintenance on plumbing and piping systems to minimize downtime
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to support installation and repair work
Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and hospital departments to maintain facility operations
Document maintenance, repairs, and installations within the computerized work order system
Train and mentor new team members to strengthen team capability and performance
Follow all safety regulations, codes, and compliance standards required in a healthcare environment
What You Bring:
8+ years of plumbing experience
Master Plumber License – State of Texas (required)
Medical Gas Endorsement (preferred)
Valid Texas Driver License (Class C)
Skills That Set You Apart:
Advanced knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods
Ability to install and repair medical gas systems
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability to read blueprints and technical plans
Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to train and mentor team members
Salary:
$25.90 to $44.57 per hour
Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and work in active facility environments.
