About Parkland Health

Who we are

At Parkland Health, we have served Dallas County since 1894 and have grown into one of the largest public hospital systems in the country. We operate from our main campus at 5200 Harry Hines Boulevard in Dallas and average more than 1 million outpatient visits each year. As Dallas County’s public health system and the primary teaching hospital for UT Southwestern Medical Center, we pair a long public-service mission with academic medicine and large-scale community care.

What we do

We provide care across a major public health system that includes a Level I Trauma Center, the first verified burn center in North Texas, and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Beyond the hospital, we deliver care through community-based health centers, including primary care and women’s clinics, along with outreach and education programs across Dallas County. Our teams support high-volume, complex operations, with more than 1. 28 million outpatient visits and more than 22,000 surgeries reported in fiscal year 2025.

Working at Parkland Health

We build our culture around ICARE values—Integrity, Compassion and Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Equity—and we invest in our people through learning and career development. For skilled trades roles such as plumbing, the work directly supports critical hospital infrastructure, from water lines to medical gas systems, helping keep a major Dallas safety-net hospital operating safely and efficiently.
